Managing Director, Superheat Ltd
Trevor Edwards is a Director and shareholder of the family owned business, Superheat Ltd. After graduating from Canterbury University with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, Trevor started working in the aluminium industry. Firstly at Tiwai Point aluminium smelter in Bluff, then at a research institute in Melbourne followed by aluminium projects in the UK, Middle East, Central Asia and Iceland.
Following the successful completion of an expansion to the Norðurál Aluminium Smelter in Iceland, Trevor relocated back to New Zealand with his family and acquired the business Multi Machinery Ltd. Renamed to Superheat Ltd, the business has grown into one of New Zealand’s leading bespoke water heating product manufacturers.
Trevor has been involved with The Manufacturers Network (formerly the NZMEA) and is currently serving as Vice President. The Manufacturers Network is a group of globally competitive New Zealand manufacturers who want to grow their business, and New Zealand’s economy, through collaboration, innovation and the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
The Laura Fergusson Trust is an independent charitable organisation that provides residential and community care, treatment and acute brain injury rehabilitation for clients with impairments or brain injury. Trevor has served as a Trustee of the LFT and is presently Chair of LFT Canterbury.
Superheat supports Pathway Trust by providing employment opportunities for released prisoners to assist in their integration into the community. Stable employment creates an environment where released prisoners and their families become full participants in their communities.
In his spare time, Trevor enjoys family, classic British cars, cycling in the Port Hills and is a keen participant in local club bike racing.
