Dear Member

Nominations are now open for the 2018/19 Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce Board (The Chamber).

It is an exciting time for The Chamber as we, like our members, evolve in the ever-changing business environment. We are looking for a diverse group of passionate people representative of our membership to help The Chamber leverage opportunities and manage the challenges and continue to support our members.

The Board’s role is to set policy, determine the strategic direction of The Chamber and support the Chief Executive. The Board consists of 12 Directors, each serving a two-year term which means that six positions are up for renewal each year.  This year we have 4 long standing Board members stepping down so there will definitely be the opportunity for new members to be elected to the Board this year.

Nominees must be existing members of The Chamber. Nominations must be proposed and seconded. The nominator can be a member of the same organisation, and the seconder must be from outside of your organisation. Both the nominator’s organisation and the seconder’s organisation must be current members of The Chamber.

How to Nominate:

If you wish to nominate a representative from your organisation, please supply the following no later than 5.00pm, Friday 17 August to the address stated on the nomination form:
