Transition to Retirement 

This interactive full day workshop will provide the tools, guidance and information to enable each individual to see retirement as a time for fun, relaxation, new challenges, excitement and fulfillment.  It will provide the framework and platform to make this a seamless transition and identify the importance of forward planning.

The workshop covers the following topics:

  • Changing trends in retirement
  • Developing a personal profile to include
    • Skills portfolio
    • Personal values
    • Professional/Personal development
    • Life-Work Choices
  • Representation from the HR team to discuss career transition options. (Optional)
  • Housing and accommodation options
  • Health, fitness and wellbeing
  • Financial considerations and clarification of legal issues
  • Relationships in retirement
  • Living alone in retirement
  • Identifying retirement options and goals
  • Conducting a SWOT Analysis on several identified goals
  • Managing change and the transition to retirement
  • Developing a personal action plan for retirement

Each individual will receive a personal workbook to be used as a resource tool as they prepare for and move through the Transition to Retirement Cycle.

A qualified Financial Advisor from Forsyth Barr will be present for a segment of the workshop to provide information and to answer questions.
