Canterbury Regional Business Partners has secured funding to provide support for small businesses in the region

It was announced yesterday that the Government and Canterbury Regional Business Partnershave committed to a further five and a half years of support for small businesses, through the Regional Business Partner Programme.
The Canterbury Regional Business Partners Programme is managed and administered by a joint venture between the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and the Canterbury Development Corporation. Directors of the joint venture company, Michaela Blacklock and Leeann Watson have both expressed their appreciation of having the opportunity to continue to deliver this highly valuable programme.
Michaela Blacklock said, “we look forward to working with our partners across Canterbury and providing a broad range of support to businesses that will complement private sector offerings.”
Leeann Watson expressed her pleasure in continuing the relationship with Callaghan Innovation and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise. “We have established a highly trusted partnership relationship with these Government entities which enables us to assist them in achieving their regional research and development and business capability objectives,” she said.
