Born and bred Cantabrian Nettles Lamont’s extensive experience has been gained from many years of working across a broad range of businesses.  Being a positive disrupter, Nettles brings entrepreneurial skill and strategic thought leadership to the Board table.

Nettles has owned and run Conquest Training, for the past 11 years.  Conquest is dedicated to upskilling NZ’s workforce, providing professional development, strategic thought leadership, management training, and literacy and numeracy upskilling.  It takes her from board rooms to smoko rooms with regular changes of footwear to match.  The clients include retail, construction and manufacturing and include several Canterbury companies.

Nettles continues to do significant work in charity.  Currently Nettles is the vice president of Cholmondeley Children’s Centre, the CEO of the Dublin St Trust (a Canterbury charity) and on the board of Home and Family, Christchurch.  The significant time devoted to these charities reflects her commitment to both children, and the wider community of Canterbury.

Nettles is a member of the Institute of Directors, and has a Bachelor of Commerce and Management degree in Accounting from Lincoln University.
