How businesses can be supported to grow, realise their full potential and contribute to our local economy and community is what drives me in business.
Over a 30-year career, I have focused on finding ways to provide the systems and support, as well as expertise, networks and relationships that help growing and mid-sized businesses understand the path they are on, recognise the barriers to development and maximise their unique advantages.
Originally from Southland, my husband and I chose to move to Christchurch 6 years ago to enable me to establish a new office for a fast-growing South Island business – and play a part in the future of this dynamic region.
I have a strong background in technology, with senior business development roles for Fuji Xerox NZ Ltd, Geni NZ/Telecom and Focus Technology Group Limited, where I wear many hats in my role as a Director of the Company, Sales Manager for our Group and Branch Manager for Christchurch.
Being a new citizen of Christchurch, I love the incredible potential of this place – and never fail to be impressed by the enormous contribution local businesses have made to the recovery, supporting the community and helping define what the region offers to the country.
The Chamber has a pivotal role to play in helping both support and champion local business, and I believe I have a good deal to offer the organisation and its members as Canterbury negotiates its way through a critical stage in its regeneration.
