A Winning Opportunity for NZ exporters.
Did you know the B2B ecommerce market in the US is actually twice the size as the B2C market?
At our next Export Breakfast, guest speaker Hema Dey will join us all the way from Los Angeles in the US to share her experience and discuss the opportunities available for New Zealand businesses in this key market. We will also hear about new and exciting innovations in the New Zealand agritech sector from guest speaker Dave Macaskill, and a local exporter, with discussion around path to market, challenges for exporting innovations, and key market changes.
Special guest speaker Hema Dey
is a world-class New Zealander and a marketing e-commerce guru.
Hema will discuss key business trends in the US market and how B2B – when done right – could be a winner for New Zealand companies. She will share an insider’s perspective on what is actually happening in the US with regards to business market trends and business confidence, including whether the ‘Trump effect’ is real, and the China/US standoff.
Now President, CMO and SEO2Sales Director for marketing firm Iffel International, Hema actually started her business journey at Lincoln University and has worked at local companies Tait Communications, AuCom Electronics and Skellerup Industries. She now has over 20 years’ domestic and export marketing strategy experience and, as a proven high sales performer, has established business partnerships in over 35 counties and speaks four languages.
We also welcome Dave Macaskill, Senior Associate for James & Wells who will discuss exciting innovations within the agritech sector.
Dave advises businesses on intellectual property protection strategies and manages the process of securing and enforcing rights, with a focus on strategy advice and portfolio management. His expertise includes all aspects of patent and trade mark law, including freedom to operate advice, protectability, preparing filing strategies and prosecution. He has completed due diligence projects for vendors and purchasers, advised companies raising capital from angel investors and venture capital firms, and developed intellectual property strategies to maximise return from an exit strategy.
Our MC for the event will be Mike Killick, Coalitions Manager from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).
Mike is involved with bringing groups of companies together who can then support each other with export growth resulting in higher and more sustainable success within their targeted markets.
Prior to NZTE, Mike was Managing Director at Deep South Ice Cream, where he oversaw a significant rebranding project, market development and a market turnaround to position Deep South as one of New Zealand’s leading manufacturers and exporters of premium New Zealand ice cream.
As always, after presentations there will be the opportunities
to ask questions.
