HEALTH AND SAFETY REFRESHER TRAINING

You may have already completed our Health and Safety Representative Training Stage 1 and 2 courses, or a similar course, in the past.  This one-day programme has been designed as a refresher of key topics covered in those courses, with an emphasis on critical risk management, and accident investigation.  It also includes a new section covering workplace wellness issues and the importance of positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

  • Understand health and safety legislation and legal requirements
  • Review Representatives' wider roles: engagement and participation
  • Hazard and risk management with a focus on identifying critical risks
  • Event reporting and investigating
  • Workplace wellbeing

  • Digging deeper into how well your organisation has communicated its commitment, expectations and approach to managing health and safety risks

Helen Mason has extensive health and safety experience, including over 15 years as a health and safety consultant, as well as significant in-house experience within both the public and private sector. Helen is skilled at being able to provide support to organisations at any stage of their health and safety journey – from systems audits, legislation updates and documentation right through to customised in-house training, staff inductions and on-call support. With a focus on long-term partnerships, Helen regularly works with a wide range of clients from across a variety of sectors throughout New Zealand, including SMEs, large multinational corporates and not-for-profits, to help organisations more effectively manage health and safety in the workplace.
