2024 AGM

Annual General Meeting

Members are invited to attend the Business Canterbury AGM, each year.

The meeting is a great chance to understand more about all we do to support the wider business community throughout the year. You will also get to network and learn the outcome of our Board elections as we announce our new Board of Directors.

Business Canterbury has a new governance structure in place this year which seeks to ensure a balanced strategic view of our activities in accordance with best practice.

Our Board of Director Nominees

The Business Canterbury Board Member nominations for 2024/2025 closed at 5pm, 16 September. The following is our list of nominees, feel free to review their profiles. Details on how to submit your vote will be provided to members once voting opens on 30th September.

 

Voting is Now Closed

Thank you to our list of nominees for the Business Canterbury 2024/2025 Board of Directors. Our new board will be announced at the AGM on October 24th.

Please note that as per our Constitution -

  • Each member company gets one vote in our Board election, voting links will be sent to the key contact or leader as noted in our system at the time voting opens
  • Lite Members are not eligible to vote. Members must hold either a Connect, Thrive, or Invest membership or an HR Advice, HR Premium, Manufacturing or Global Trade service membership.
  • Membership fees must be fully paid-up for members to be eligible to vote.

A unique voting PIN and password will be emailed to you from Electionz. If you have not received an email or have any queries or concerns we would be happy to chat to you, please feel free to contact us

Governance Structure

Business Canterbury is guided by our ConstitutionPDF_32 and governed by our Board of Directors who support the Chief Executive in setting policy and the strategic direction of our organisation. The Board consists of nine directors who are elected by our members at our Annual General Meeting, held in October.

Important Dates

  • 26 August: Nominations open
  • 16 September:  Nominations close at 5.00pm
  • 30 September:  Electronic voting opens, an email will be sent from Electionz to the CEO or key contact of each member organisation with a link to vote (one vote per member organisation)
  • 23 October:  Electronic voting closes at 5.00pm
  • 24 October:  Results announced at AGM,  to be held 4.00pm at Business Canterbury, 57 Kilmore Street
