Grants and Finance
Canterbury manufacturers have the opportunity to access a variety of grants and financial support aimed at fostering innovation and growth and sustainability and/or carbon reduction, such as -
- Callaghan Innovation: R&D grants, tax incentives, and support for technological advancements
- The New Zealand Government offers targeted assistance through the Provincial Growth Fund and the Regional Business Partner Network (of which Business Canterbury is affiliated) - this can include financial support, mentoring, and skills development tailored to regional businesses
- Businesses can also explore co-investment opportunities and support through New Zealand Trade and Enterprise
- Waste Minimisation grants are available locally and nationally
- WasteMINZ also provides a good list of additional sustainability related funds you could access
