Overview

This course looks at the benefits of good risk analysis to your business and your workers. We will take you through the stages of risk management from hazard identification to risk mitigation and review. This will include the development of a risk register and the importance of worker participation.

You’ll learn about:

  • The obligation to management risk under current Health and Safety legislation 
  • The difference between hazards and risks
  • How to identify hazards
  • What a critical risk is
  • How to prioritise your risks
  • Methods of mitigation
  • What  ‘reasonably practicable’ really means

So you can:

  • Manage risks in your workplace
  • Work with your staff to develop the most effective hazard controls
  • Develop a useful, functional risk register
  • Monitor existing controls to ensure effectiveness

  • A system that identifies and controls risk before an incident occurs
  • A risk management system that is useful to the business and workers

Who is this course for?

All workers should be involved in the risk management process, but this course is intended for those who are involved in the coordination and maintenance of risk registers, team leaders who will lead by example, and business owners who want to improve the safety awareness within their business.
