SBN Online Webinar for manufacturers: Climate Action Toolbox 29 July

The Sustainable Business Network has an upcoming webinar on 29th July that could be helpful to manufacturers, with the launch of the updated Climate Action Toolbox, designed to help manufacturers on their journey.

FREE 1 Hour Online Webinar | Monday 29th July, 10:15-11:00

The Minister for Small Business and Manufacturing, Andrew Bayly, is set to launch a new report and updated Climate Action Toolbox aimed at aiding the manufacturing sector in reducing emissions. The report, titled "Mapping Emissions and Waste Stream Profiles, and Opportunities for Achieving Net-Zero Circular Advanced Manufacturing," offers insights into the emissions and waste patterns within Aotearoa New Zealand’s advanced manufacturing sector. Created by Aurecon, thinkstep-anz, and the Sustainable Business Network and commissioned by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, the report provides strategies for businesses to adopt net-zero circular manufacturing practices, supporting the sector's growth and resilience.

The Climate Action Toolbox, a free online resource designed to help small and medium businesses reduce emissions, has already garnered over 56,000 users since its 2021 launch. Initially focused on the construction sector, the Toolbox now includes specialized support for the manufacturing sector, offering practical and tailored guidance developed in collaboration with industry experts. This update was made possible through partnerships with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, BNZ, EECA, Spark, and the NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, with additional support from DNA and NZTE. The collaborative effort ensures comprehensive support for manufacturing businesses striving to reduce their environmental impact.
